FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY

A unique assisted manual therapy that focuses on the body’s muscular and fascial systems

WHAT IS FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY?

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is an assisted stretching technique that is performed by a Certified Fascia Stretch Therapist. The stretching takes place on a treatment table with comfortable straps to stabilize the part of the body not being worked on. This technique uses combinations of PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) as well as traction. Pain is never allowed and considered a negative response. The therapist will combine different techniques from the joint capsules in waves of movements targeting multiple angles to release, relax, and stretch the tissues and fibers.

HOW IT WORKS

Unlike other traditional stretching techniques and bodywork Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is completely functional utilizing dynamic movement. Beginning with the Major Joint capsules of the body, a 60 min session progresses through the body’s Fascial layers and ends with muscles you may not have known you had. While on the table you are an active participant realizing your current limitations and stretching beyond them.
